First Day in a new job

I just moved up from the mailroom to the prestigious position of Assistant to the Office Manager. I'm sure that I will continue to do next to nothing and still get paid hansomely for it. Ah, the life of the temp!

Every now and then I get a little panicky and wonder if I should be doing something, and then I remember what my mom told me; "You're not being paid to think", and I click on www.fark.com to make myself look busy by reading the wacky news from around the world.

I am looking forward to getting a real job, hopefully in a couple of weeks I will hear from Ve***on that an entry level management position has opened up. If that happens I will finally be able to use my brain at work, for something other than remembering obscure web addresses. In preparation I am reading this book. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0385510861/qid=1088434363/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/002-2227815-4828067?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

hey dav. you should be an author, you write so eliquently. bravo on your new job, i guess you cant complain if you dont have a lot of responsibilities, but can you get bombed at work? and can you talk back at your boss and sexually harass whoever you want and yell at the customers? no? haha i guess my job is better.
